Changing Things Up

I've really been pouring over the FLY-lady website again.

I'd like to share our master schedule and AM/PM Routines

the master schedule is a work in progress to get us on track ... one step at a time

AM Routine: allow 1 hour because life happens
Get Ready for the day and make bed
Wake DS so he too can get ready for the day
Put Dishes Away
Make and Eat Breakfast
Swish/Swipe/Sweep Bathroom (could be done before bed if your time crunched as is)
Laundry
check for today's appointments if any
what's for dinner?

PM Routine: allow 1 hour because life happens
Swipe/Sweep Kitchen
Dishes washed
Laundry all done?
Toys and other items put away
check for next day appointments if any
Critter Care
make DS shower and then tuck him in for the night
Am I ready for bed?
my free time

PS: I SSS'd my bathroom and SS'd my kitchen every day/evening last week and it actually stayed clean that way!

Inside my HMB

originally posted 02/2007 brought here for you

I have been meaning to get around to this and since we have snow and college was canceled today- HalleluYah because I wasn't ready yet for that first test- I took the time to take pictures of my "ever a project in process" Home Management Binder (HMB).

Overview of what's inside:
Rules

Nuts & Bolts
Nourishment
Child Training
Pro-HomeMaker Articles
Biblical Feasts and Messianic Goodies
Fertility

Binding Photo:

The verse is Proverbs 31:27-28
She looketh well to the ways of her household, and eateth not the bread of idleness. Her children arise up, and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praiseth her.

Front Cover:

I did not have color ink in my printer so I got some block letters and coloring book pictures at preschoolcoloringbook.com and also some scripture 1 Timothy 5:14 and Titus 2:4b-5

Rules:

Rules For The Wife At Home
Rules For The Mother At Home In Training Her Children
Children's Rules
****Giving credit where credit is due: If you'd like to view these please visit the ladies site who helped me put together a binder. **** Thanks Candy.

Nuts & Bolts:

This includes master schedule, routines (ya know AM, Mid-day, PM), working day chores, and yearly birthday/anniversary sheet to remind me when to buy cards/gifts/make cakes for those occasions.

Work Day Tasks:

Bible Study
Home Educate DS (see edge)
Exercise
Clean the apartment areas as needed
Dishes
Laundry
Cats care
weekly errands (groceries, bank, library, etc)
Home office tasks as needed (bill pay, home school log, tweak HMB when necessary, etc)
as of 4/11/08 - part-time j.o.b. x3 days per week, long story maybe I'll share it if you ask

Nourishment:

This is my menu planning and recipes section. So far I only have the menu overview, hence the project in process. I would like to type up and print recipes for my binder in the near future.

See right hand column for weekly menu -- if updated that is

Child Training:

This section includes any articles/tips I find helpful in this area that I want to keep handy.

the article seen through the divider can be found here

Pro-HomeMaker:

This includes articles I find regarding the benefits of women in the home.
Found at such sites as LAF and Lady Lydia

Biblical Feasts and Messianic Goodies:
A work in progress. When I find articles supporting the necessity of knowing about and why/how to participate in these I print out to keep here.

Fertility:
As you know I struggle with this. This is where I keep nuggets of information on this topic. It is also where I record my cycle stats and my diet and level of fitness for the days.
Extras:

Here I have some fave magazines. Making It Home, Above Rubies, and one Family Handyman with a bookcase project for our future house.

Back Cover:

This includes another picture from the coloring book site and some of my fave verses on reasons to home educate.

***I do also make a yearly portfolio binder of our home education. I may post our K4 binder one of these days. I am not required to keep such detailed records until my son is 7. I am just getting into the habit and experimenting with the best way to keep those records and log hours. It's my trial run so to speak.***
